In May 2024, the International Russian-Brazilian Center of the Russian State University for the Humanities, with the support of the Embassy of the Brazilian Federation in the Russian Federation, organized a 10-day “Days of Brazil at the Russian State University for the Humanities,” for which students of the Educational Center “Art Design” prepared their creative works “Feeling Brazil.” The paintings were born as a response to a lecture by the director of the Brazilian Center L.I. Baturina. about this distant tropical country, very different, often contradictory, ethnically and culturally diverse, and tempting for a person dreaming of overseas countries.
Unknown fruits, ocean distances and the Amazon jungle, tropical siestas and the rhythms of carnival, bright colors of flowers, green trees and blue sky - everything about Brazil interested students.
As a result, RSUH students created more than 60 works, some of which were selected for an exhibition at the Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow, specially dedicated to the Festival of Latin American and Caribbean Culture on July 22-27, 2024.
