Modern political development of Asian and African countries (Japanese language)

The program has both a philological character with an intensive language element (up to 16 academic hours per week), and an area studies element aimed at a detailed knowledge of the modern socio-political development of Japan. Our faculty combine classical academic methods of language teaching with the use of new progressive approaches.

Types of occupation:

• expert consultant in the field of socio-political development of the region;
• translator/interpreter of Japanese in state and municipal sector of the Russian Federation, public organizations, private companies, research and educational institutions; the media.

Key disciplines of the program: History of Asian and African countries, History of Japan, Japanese language, Social, state and political system of Japan, Japanese religions, Japanese economy, Geography of Japan, Japanese foreign policy.

Areas of occupation: state sector of the Russian Federation, private companies with offices in Japan, foundations, special services, the media, international organizations, educational and research institutions.
