The program is aimed at studying Europe as a whole, as well as its individual subregions and countries (Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, Holland). Within the framework of the program, comprehensive knowledge is formed about the history, features of socio-economic and cultural development, the political and legal system of the countries of the European region in a comparative context. Students master the skills of intercultural communication, forecasting and modeling processes taking place in Europe, and also master two foreign languages (choosing between English, German, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, Norwegian).

Key disciplines of the program: “World integrated area studies”, “Regional aspects of international relations”, “International political analysis of regional and global processes”, “Theory and practice of intercultural communication”, disciplines on the history, culture, economy, political and legal system of the EU and individual European countries, as well as their role in modern world politics and economics.
Areas of occupation: academic research of international relations and global integrated area studies, state agencies engaged in organizational, communication, analytical and translation/interpreting activities to ensure diplomatic and cultural contacts between Russia and Europe; expert and analytical centers and international organizations of various profiles, implementation of projects and programs for interaction with countries of the Western Hemisphere; international journalism.
