The relevance of the educational program is actual because the development in the 21st century will accelerate at the intersection of humanitarian knowledge and mathematics, and it is at the Russian State Humanitarian University that ideas for the synthesis of these areas of knowledge are realized. For training of mathematical engineers the courses of the most advanced sections of mathematics and humanitarian knowledge are taught such as: mathematical programming problems, finite fields and cryptography, quantum computing and cryptography, p-adic analysis as well as a number of disciplines related to the study of socio-technical systems.
Types of professional activity: system analyst, engineer-mathematician, specialist for management of socio-technical systems.
Areas of professional activity. The longstanding practice shows that graduates of our department are in demand in various well-known commercial firms YANDEX, AEROFLOT, NPO “ENERGIA”, in government departments and academic institutes, for example: Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics RAS, Vavilov Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology etc.
