Throughout the entire existence of RSUH, historical education has been developing along two educational directions: state educational standardization and innovation. The programs of historical education are closely related with the traditional to RSUH academic schools of source studies, historiography, auxiliary historical disciplines, archival studies and archeography.
The central idea of historical education is the idea of the diversity of historical knowledge in contemporary society. Today, the profession of historian is broader than just academic or research work. The historian’s skills in professional work with information and texts, the ability to consider social and cultural phenomena have traditionally been in demand not only in research and education, but also in the print media, on television, in the Internet, in the civil service and in business, in publishing, etc.
