The students master the ability to understand the religious characteristics of the development of the Middle Eastern region, as well as analyze the political and socio-economic phenomena occurring in the countries of the Middle East, and master two foreign languages (Arabic and English). In the learning process, much attention is paid to the study of culture as a factor in the organization of public life and the formation of the identity of the peoples of the Middle East.

Areas of occupation: academic research of international relations and global integrated area studies (M.A. ad Ph.D. levels), state structures in the field of organizational, communication, analytical and translation/interpreting activities to ensure diplomatic and cultural contacts of the Russian Federation with the countries of the Middle East; international organizations of various profiles, implementation of projects and programs on the interaction of Russia with the Middle Eastern region; international journalism.
