The one-semester interactive course is aimed at developing the general-cum-professional competences of the 1st-year BA students of Applied Philology in the field of seminal aspects of the English language and literature, e.g. the international criteria of assessment of the level of English, as well as the issues of language and culture identity, the correlation of the literary norm and the dialect, speech behaviour, etc.
