The course is aimed at the formation of students' comprehensive ideas about visual art of the XX-XXI centuries. The sources, characteristics and basic vectors of the development of the theory of visual in film and media will be considered. The course focuses on the formation and development of cinema and film theory since the end of the 19th century. Separately, the construction of the visual language and the basic concepts of visual studies and cinema studies will be considered.
