Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Pavel Shkarenkov presented admission rules to RSUH for 2025. Applicants will be able to apply for 5 majors (tracks) within 1 institution. 2 new specialties are announced: "Producing" and "Customs Affairs". Starting in 2025, based on the results of the Olympiads, all winners and prize-winners of the final stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad and all winners and prize-winners of school Olympiads under the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia for the 11th grade in all subjects will be accepted without entrance examinations.
Starting next year, the number of paid spots will not be increased, and the number of budget spots will be increased by 400, to 1670. An important part of the work of the Academic Council was the reorganization and creation of academic structural divisions of RSUH. A number of decisions was made on the establishment of the Institute of Eurasian and Oriental Studies of RSUH on the basis of the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies and the Faculty of Oriental Studies and Social and Communicative Sciences. The Institute of International Relations and Political Science of RSUH will be created on the basis of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Area Studies; the School of Law – on the basis of the Faculty of Law of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law. The International Russian-Arab Center will also be created.
At the end of the session, the Academic Council established a new amount of the increased state academic scholarship for achievements in academic, research, social, cultural, creative and athletic activities as 22,000 rubles for the period from December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, and as 14,000 rubles from January 1 to January 31, 2025. The state social scholarship for the low-income first- and second-years in Bachelor's and Specialist programs with the GPA of "good" and "excellent", will be increased to 28,000 for the period from December 1 to December 31, 2024, and to 14,000 rubles from January 1 to January 31, 2025.
