September 13-15, the XI All-Russian Congress of the Association of Foreign Students of Russia was held at the Kazan Federal University. The event was attended by the following RSUH students: Nursultan Isakov and Nurlis Akmatov, representing the Association of Foreign Students of our University
On the first day of Congress, the President of the Association (Russia) Issa Shaabo, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. In his keynote speech, he summed up the work done by the Association and outlined the plans for the coming years.
At the plenary session, the participants watched a video message from Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, member of the Associations Board of Trustees: “The ideas of the participants can become a creative force that will make our world more peaceful, fair and harmonious. I wish you successful work, bold ideas, ambitious plans, peace and prosperity.”
Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, said: “Your activities coincide with Russia’s desire to provide young people with the opportunity to receive high-quality higher education. You are making a significant contribution to the training of in-demand specialists for partner countries.”
Dr. Anicet Gabriel Kotchofa, founder of the Association (Russia), General Director of Incorvuz-XXI, ex-Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, spoke about the history of the creation of the organization, noting that at first it had included only four foreign students. At the end of his speech, he wished the participants to “strengthen friendship between peoples and believe in Russia”.
The participants were also greeted by Dr. Vladimir Filippov, President of the Russian Peoples' Friendship University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Association (Russia), President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir Platonov, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Olga Pilipenko and Director of the Department for Coordination of Activities of Educational Organizations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Vitaly Grishkin.
At the end of the plenary session, a report on the work of the Association in 2022–2023 was presented. Then the branch heads spoke about their results. It was followed by a regional round table for foreign students.
The next day, the founders of the project “Russia – the Land of Opportunities” spoke about employment prospects in the Russian Federation. There was also a case game, in which the teams solved a number of problems and then presented their solutions.
