On October 12-13, RSUH hosted the All-Russian festival SCIENCE 0+ "The Art of Being Human: from Stones to Neural Networks". The Festival is one of the largest educational projects in the world and one of the key events of the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation. The motto of the Festival this year is "Science Around Us".
The RSUH exposition was divided into several blocks: interactive zones, popular science lectures, master classes. As part of the Open Lecture Hall, leading RSUH experts gave lectures on various areas of social sciences and humanities.
At the master classes from the Advertising and Public Relations Faculty of RSUH, the participants used practical examples to analyze photographic techniques, studied the features of lighting setup, created their own infographics on the topic of "Where does a student's time go?" and developed concepts for advertising materials.
At the master class "Soviet icons: restoration of 20th century artifacts", Dr. Antonov, Director of RSUH Visual Research Center of the Middle Ages and Modern Times, taught the basics of restoration work and photo recording of museum exhibits.
Dr. Kryshtanovskaya, Director of the Yadov Center for Digital Sociology and Deputy Director Lavrov held a master class on studying social networks using digital methods. In order to popularize research into Soviet science, the specialists from the Center for the History of Russian Science of RSUH, under the guidance of Dr. Dolgovoy, talked to the participants about how Soviet scientists had lived during the NEP period.
Intellectual battles, organized by the RSUH student academic society, allowed the participants to get acquainted with the academic achievements of young scientists.
