On April 14, 2023, the International Cultural and Educational Forum "The Beginning of Manned Cosmonautics" was held at RSUH, at which presentations were made and poems about astronautics read. The Forum brought together students and educators from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and India.
Dr. Vera Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RSUH, addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. Dr. Zabotkina noted that Cosmonautics Day was a special day for the Russian people. She also emphasized that India was our strategic partner, and there was great hope that new cooperation agreements would be concluded between RSUH and Indian universities.
The guest of the event, Dr.Tatyana Golovkina, historian-archivist, winner of the Glushko Prize "For the Propaganda of Science in Literature", spoke about the beginning of manned cosmonautics, about the biography of Yuri Gagarin, about the first spaceship "Vostok" , the creation of an intercontinental ballistic missile in 1957, the launch of the first satellites, the space race, and about the people who had participated in the creation of space technology.
