On June 29, 2021, the licensing procedure for the educational activities of the branch of RSUH in the Republic of Guatemala (República de Guatemala) was completed. A branch of RSUH, opened in 2020, it will implement the BA program "History and Culture of Latin America" within the track 46.03.01 (History). It will also include additional vocational offline and online programs.
For many years, RSUH has been organizing research projects in Latin American countries, actively working to strengthen international relations, promoting the Russian language and culture abroad, implementing face-to-face and online educational programs, holding public lectures, cultural and educational events on the Russian language and culture, hieroglyphic writing, history and epigraphy of the Mayans and many other topics.
The relations of the Russian Federation with the countries of Latin America reached a new level after the visit of the President Putin to Guatemala in 2007. The University participates in the development of academic and educational cooperation between Russia and the Republic of Guatemala, helping solve important strategic tasks set by the international cultural policy of our country.
