“Today, social architecture should become a real, sought-after social specialty. Attention to everything that happens in society and the opportunity to actively transform it through the work of social architects is one of the most interesting challenges with which we are opening the year 2025,” said Acting Rector of RSUH Andrei Loginov at a round table dedicated to the launch of the "Social Architects Competition".
"Who are social architects?" was the topic of the event organized by the Expert Institute for Social Research, which took place on January 16 at the press center "Russia Today". It brought together experts: representatives of government, higher education, academic and professional communities.
"Our society is changing rapidly. At the dawn of Russian democracy, the main demand was for political strategists and consultants, and now the time has come for specialists of a new quality," said Firdus Aliyev, Managing Director for Interaction with the Expert Community of the Expert Institute.
It is the social architects that act as intermediaries and organizers, facilitating the establishment of effective interactions between various social groups, institutions and government agencies.
"Political scientists, political technology groups and those teams that previously ensured decision-making, elections - all this requires reconfiguration to new tracks leading to an improvement in life throughout our country," explained the Acting Rector of RSUH Andrei Loginov.
He cited the Murmansk Region as an example of the effective use of social architecture projects:
"When Andrei Chibis became governor, the meme "the last to leave the region, please turn off the lights" was popular. And now, thanks to the project "To Live in the North", the Region has positive migration dynamics."
The Rector especially noted the value and timeliness of the Competition and voiced the readiness of RSUH to develop special educational programs:
"We responded to this initiative with great enthusiasm. We have three institutes at the Russian State University for the Humanities that, in principle, could already begin preparing programs for at least additional professional training for social architects."
The participants assigned a special role to social architects in the context of election campaigns.
"The current election campaigns are largely based on the implementation of social projects. There are very few public political actions left within the election process. And this is not connected with the level of competition, but with the change in the demands of society,” emphasized Firdus Aliyev.
The round table was also attended by: First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Regulations and Organization of Parliamentary Activities Sergei Perminov, Governor of the Kirov Region Alexander Sokolov, member of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at Moscow State University Andrei Shutov, President of the Russian Association of Political Science, Chair of a department at MGIMO, Member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the RAS Oksana Gaman-Golutvina, President of the Minchenko Consulting Communications Holding Evgeny Minchenko, General Director of ANO “Dialogue” and ANO “Dialogue Regions” Vladimir Tabak.
Social architecture is a process of improving civil society in the country, the purpose of which is to increase the level of interaction between social groups, between the population and the government to solve common problems and improve the standard of living.
