Training highly qualified specialists in oriental studies, studying European and Islamic legal cultures, interaction in the field of law and preserving Islamic manuscripts are some of the main areas of the parties' cooperation program for the next two years.
RSUH took another step towards expanding contacts with partners from the Islamic world in the field of humanities and the study of Islamic culture, philosophy and religion, securing this with a cooperation agreement with the Ibn Sina Islamic Culture Research Foundation.
The key areas of contacts will be work on translating written monuments of Islamic thought and their publication, research in the field of Islamic culture, cultural and exhibition events, conferences, as well as assistance in preserving, describing and studying manuscripts in Persian, attracting highly qualified specialists to participate in joint programs, exchanging literature and publications.
"Nothing brings liberal arts research centers closer together than the exchange of books. Therefore, we gratefully accept your publications. Indeed, the study of the features and specifics of Islamic culture, Islamic law, and the Islamic world is a priority for us today," said Andrei Loginov, Acting Rector of RSUH.
"One of the key topics that Iranian scholars have been studying for the past 40 years is the Islamic view of humanities. And this view could be of interest to you. During this time, we have gained significant experience in both research and education, as well as in the field of preparing media products. And in all these areas, we are ready to cooperate with you as one of the leading humanitarian universities," said Hamid Reza Hadavimogaddam, President of Ibn Sina Foundation.
The parties paid special attention to cooperation in the field of legal aspects. "I am especially impressed by the fact that you are legal experts, because recently the law has acquired substantial value. The world is beginning to understand that any kind of conflicts and contradictions must be resolved by legal means, and this leads, if not to convergence, then at least to the rapprochement of legal systems. I even believe that unification of all legal systems that exist on the planet today is inevitable somewhere in the distant future," said Andrei Loginov. He also noted that the countries of the world, no matter what legal model they adopt, necessarily bring their national and cultural specificity to it, and a special place, of course, is occupied by Islamic law, which contains structures that correlate with other legal systems. In particular, he said that the Institute of Law of the RSUH was created on the basis of the Faculty of Law of the Institute of Economics, Management and Law, which will be headed by the famous Russian statesman and Honored Lawyer of Russia Sergey Shakhrai. Andrei Loginov also spoke on the formation of an educational program for training specialists in the field of Islamic theology and the importance of studying the culture of the East: “We are now actively developing international centers that are focused on multipolarity. If earlier most of our international centers were dedicated to European and North American countries, now we are developing centers that are dedicated to Iranian studies in every possible way.”
