In his speech he did not only represent the excursion to the past of Canada, but also directed students attention to the features of the development of the country, caused by the long-term coexistence of the representatives of two European cultures in the region. By Mr.Grenier’s opinion, the phenomenon of Canada is that the united political system and the economical model coexist with the cultural dualism in the country. Grenier told as about contradictions between the Britons and Frenchmen, so about their cultural integration and cooperation – the terms, which defined the specificity of this region and had the significant impact on its history.
