On July 27-28, the Second Russia-Africa Summit was held at the Expoforum in St. Petersburg under the motto “For Peace, Security and Development.” The event was organized by the Roskongress Foundation

The Summit is the largest event in Russian-African relations.

President Putin said that the Russian Federation was planning to open branches of leading Russian universities in African countries, as well as assist in the development of general and secondary vocational education: “Effective cooperation with African educational institutions is also being established within the framework of the Russian-African Network University.”

It is worth noting that RSUH is a member of the consortium of the Russian-African Network University.

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RSUH Vera Zabotkina met with the main partners from the Republic of Zimbabwe: Mr. Kwame Tapiwa Muzawazi, Director of the Institute of African Studies, Goodwill Ambassador and his colleagues. As part of the cooperation agreement, RSUH plans to organize an exhibition dedicated to the assistance of the USSR and the Russian Federation in the fight against colonialism and neo-colonialism in Africa.
