A session of the Russian-Cuban working group on cooperation in the field of education was held in Havana (Republic of Cuba). The event was held as part of the 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Cuban Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
The Russian delegation was headed by Mr. Petr Kucherenko, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Mr. Artur Nikolaev of the Office of International Relations, represented RSUH.
The session was attended by representatives of a number of higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation, including RSUH, the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, Moscow State Linguistic University, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and Southern Federal University.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations in the field of education, as well as the dynamics of development and implementation of educational projects between the universities of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Cuba.
As part of the negotiations between RSUH and the University of Havana, which took place during the meeting of the Working Group, an agreement was reached to sign a cooperation agreement, as well as to develop joint educational projects in the field of humanities.
