On April 23, on the occasion of the Victory Day, a large convoy of humanitarian aid left for the military zone from the collection point at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute.
The educational institutions collected 5 KAMAZ trucks full of humanitarian aid. The purchases from the funds raised by RSUH, included an ATV with a trailer, quadcopters, a diesel generator with the necessary components and other things needed by the Army. Also, 20 boxes of textbooks for universities and 45 boxes of fiction went to new regions. The bulk of aid will be received by the airborne units participating in the special operation.
At the rally for the event, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of RSUH Pavel Shkarenkov delivered speeches.
The campaign “Universities for the Front!” was launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the initiative of Russian universities this spring. To date, thousands of students and teachers from more than 500 educational organizations from all over the country have joined in. They regularly collect and send humanitarian aid to new regions and the military zone, raise money for the purchase of military equipment, and make a variety of devices for fighters with their own hands.
