RSUH Readings in Humanities - 2021. Day 5

On the fifth day of the Readings, the II Interuniversity School of Young Scholars “One Day in the Life of a Scholar: Everyday Life, Communications, Meanings” was held, organized by the Center for Interdisciplinary Humanitarian Research of RSUH with the support of the Russian Science Foundation “Soviet Science as an Industry: Personnel, Infrastructure, Organizational management practices (1920-1970s)".

The School became an open discussion platform that brought together historians and sociologists to discuss issues related to the professional everyday life of scholars. The online format chosen by the organizers expanded the geography of participation: researchers from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Minsk (Belarus) and St.Paul (USA) joined the work of the school.

A public-talk on the topic "Other Art" at RSUH: from Talochkin to Alshibai "completed the fifth day of Readings.

At the event, Dr. Irina Bakanova, Director of the Museum Center of RSUH, and Mikhail Alshibaya, a collector of Russian art, spoke about the exhibition activities.

Mr. Alshibaya shared his vision of collecting, and also spoke about joint projects with galleries and museums.

A full photo report will be published upon completion of all events. Video recordings of conferences and seminars are available on the same links as the broadcasts, and they can also be found on our official YouTube channel.
