RSUH hosted an international conference "Face in Language and Communication". The conference brought together researchers of Russian from such countries as Austria, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Finland. Russia was represented by the universities of Arkhangelsk, Yekaterinburg, Novgorod, Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod. Scholars from Moscow State University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow State Linguistic University, Higher School of Economics and, of course, RSUH, made their presentations.
The Conference topics included a wide range of issues related to the anthropocentric branch in language description having to do with the concept of a person as a grammatical category and with a range of person nominations in free and idiomatic combinations. This approach puts a linguistic personality at the center of research.
