The Table was held on May 6, 2023. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Assembly of Peoples of Russia and the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia with the support of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.
The priority tasks of the Table are the formation of an active civic position among young people, counteraction to the ideology of terrorism and prevention of extremism.
The conference moderator, Vice-Rector for Project Activities of RSUH, Dr. Magomed Omarov, delivered a welcoming speech. He described in detail the goals and objectives of the project "Our Common Home, Russia" and stressed that this was primarily a platform for an open conversation and a search for ways to prevent and resolve interethnic conflicts.
Dr. Grigory Petushkov, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of the Russian Technological University, spoke about the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia in the context of interethnic relations.
Mr. Vladimir Zorin, Soviet and Russian politician, Minister of the Russian Federation in 2001-2004, raised the issue of the threats posed by interethnic conflicts and described the global problems that were caused by the multipolarity of the modern world community.
Mr. Andrey Pinchuk, Hero of the DPR, the first Minister of State Security of the Donetsk People's Republic, touched upon the principles of the formation of multinationality in the Russian Empire and the USSR.
The presentations on the topics of the Table were made by Deputy Director of the Center for Strengthening Interethnic Friendship and Citizenship of the State University of Management, Dr. Maxim Resnyansky and Chairman of the Kyrgyz Community of RSUH, Co-Chairman of the student international club "Interclub", Dr Daniyar Bakiyev. They spoke about the work of clubs of interethnic friendship, youth communities and associations.
