RSUH discusses a seminar held on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation: a meeting “Strategic development of universities: transformation of the financial model”

On June 10, a meeting was held at RSUH to discuss the content of the financial seminar “Strategic development of universities: transformation of the financial model”. It was organized on the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science.

The University was represented by Rector Bezborodov, Vice-Rector Pavel Shkarenkov, and Svetlana Tretyakova, Chief Accountant of RSUH.

The main goal of the seminar was to form a common understanding of the transformation of the financial model of the University as part of the implementation of its development strategy and the transition from the resource management to the value creation model.

Svetlana Tretyakova outlined the tasks set by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for the organization of higher education:

“With a more active participation of the financier in the management processes and strategic development of the university, his role changes to that of a partner, aimed at jointly searching for ways to create value for consumers, the founder and the university.”

One of the goals of the event also includes identifying barriers and issues in applying best corporate practices both at the university level and the level of the higher education system as a whole.

According to Svetlana Tretyakova, the seminar demonstrated that the Russian Ministry of Education and Science was successfully applying change management technology and designing the image of the future jointly with the professional community:

“The Ministry, jointly with the professional community, is working on topical issues, such as optimizing the flow of work within a university, defining of a “lean office,” creating popular educational products while at the same time managing costs.”
