Following a meeting of the Council and Board of Trustees of the "History of the Fatherland" foundation, led by Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov and Council Chairman Sergey Naryshkin, it was decided to organize a strategic session at RSUH dedicated to training future professional historians.
Mr. Naryshkin emphasized that the Foundation, established in 2016 by presidential decree, is a crucial tool for supporting significant historical and educational initiatives, having implemented over 180 projects in the past year, including new books, exhibitions, conferences, archaeological schools, and documentaries. Falkov highlighted the ongoing work to create a new national higher education system, with a course in Russian history playing a key role as part of a unified socio-humanitarian core that all higher education students in Russia would be required to study. The minister also thanked the foundation for supporting the international conference "History of Novorossiya" in Mariupol.
