Strengthening youth policy and developing academic cooperation with the CIS countries is being discussed at RSUH at the 2nd Youth Forum of Slavic Universities, which has brought together students, teachers, and researchers from RSUH and Slavic universities in Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
“The events organized by Slavic universities are attracting more and more representatives of the youth, those who are thinking about what tomorrow will be like and are actively shaping the vision of our common future,” said Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, at the opening of the Forum.
According to him, Slavic universities in Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are places of permanent presence of the Russian education system abroad. One of the priorities of the international activities of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science is its support of interstate educational organizations of higher education, which are under the joint jurisdiction of Russia and partner countries.
For the first time, a motivational session was held at the Forum, attended by graduates of RSUH with a presentation of socio-humanitarian projects and their own academic achievements. The participants studied the activities of the national project "Education" from Rosmolodezh, the Youth Club of the Russian Historical Society, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS, in other words, organizations that actively involve students in the academic paradigm.
"The Forum is a specific example of strengthening ties with young people in the CIS countries, implementing the academic and technical direction in science and improving the quality of education in the country, as well as maintaining and developing identity among the younger generation," said Efim Pivovar, Academic Director of RSUH.
The guest of honor of the Forum was First Deputy Director of the TASS Information Agency Mikhail Gusman, who talked about the challenges faced by the professional journalistic community.
"I can tell you 3 qualities by which we hire people at TASS: intelligence, intelligence and intelligence again! Fake news is a threat to global stability, so before we publish the news, we check at least 3 reliable sources," said Mikhail Gusman.
The Forum is held with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and has established itself as a platform for the emergence of new initiatives and constructive discussions on current issues, including in the humanities.
