A round table was held at RSUH, dedicated to the analysis and comparison of two medieval works about legendary heroes, feats and trials, love and hate. The participants discussed the Völsunga Saga and the Nibelungenlied.

The moderator of this meeting was Ms. Sofia Fedotova, a third-year student of the Center for Social Anthropology of RSUH. At this meeting, Sofia chose to discuss the love triangle between Sigurd (Siegfried in the Nibelungenlied), Brynhild and Gudrun (Kriemhild).

Reading excerpts from the texts, the participants attempted to find out which side the narrator was on in each of the works, and what was the reason for his sympathy. Dr. Aurov, curator of the group "The Other Middle Ages", also took part in the discussion.
