Dear friends, I would like to wish everyone a happy Russian Student Day.
Today, 4.5 million of our citizens are celebrating this holiday. These are students and teachers of universities of the Russian Federation. Everything that makes us a single family is embodied in this wonderful day.
You have already passed your finals, and the holidays await. Afterwards, you will return here to see your friends and teachers, and hit the books again. Each of you goes through this cycle, and its repetition will largely determine the algorithms on which you will build your life and plans in the future. The way you look at the world around you will hinge on what knowledge and skills you take away from a higher educational institution. Studying at a university is the formation, the education of a person. Here, each of you really goes through a very difficult, but fascinating path from knowledge to understanding, from innovation to tradition, from specifics to the particular.
All these skills that you develop reading textbooks, listening to lectures, your whole worldview, will help you to become worthy people and citizens, patriots of our country. I wish you a happy holiday, and I wish you health, success and, of course, the happiness that each of us deserves.
