The Exhibition opened 1 March 2018 in RSUH Exhibition Hall with a welcome speech from Dr. Lavrentieva, Head of the Tsvetaev Museum, Vice-Rector Arkhipova and Vice-Rector Zabotkina.
Akhmal Usmanov, the descendant of Sogdiana dwellers, used to work in textile and chemical industry, built hydro-electric stations in various parts of Tajikistan and it was that travelling that allowed him to see and photograph the Tajik people of all walks of life.
He saw the magical Camel’s Head, gazed upon the Fedchenko glacier, bathed in the lake Issyk-Kul and met with Kulyab Amazons and the rarely seen Asian gypsies.
Mr. Usmanov is a winner of many national and international photographic competitions.
