With deep sorrow, we inform you that on March 1, 2025, Aleksei Pisarev, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Russian History of the Middle Ages and Modern Times of RSUH.
Aleksei Evgenyevich graduated from the Faculty of History, Political Science, and Law of the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute. He devoted eighteen years to the study of Moscow Streltsy and defended his dissertation at RSUH in 2017 ("Combat Effectiveness of Moscow Streltsy in the Second Half of the 17th – Early 18th Century"). In 2021, he published a book “Moscow Streltsy of the Second Half of the 17th– Early 18th Century”.
It is deeply saddening to realize that we will no longer feel his warm, friendly, and charming presence.
