The 17th-century historical chambers, located in the building of the Institute of History and Archives of the Russian State University for the Humanities on Nikolskaya, can now be visited as part of tours led by guides from the Knorozov Center of RSUH.
The tours allow visitors to explore an exhibition dedicated to the history of Russian writing, learn about what was used for writing in ancient Rus', how ink was made, and discover the history of book printing in the Russian state. Part of the Printing Yard chambers (Teremok) are currently under restoration, and access is temporarily limited.
