On December 18, RSUH hosted an international conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between Russia and Indonesia. At the opening of the Conference, the welcoming speech of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrei Rudenko was read.
Dear friends,
Ladies and gentlemen,
I am glad to welcome the participants of the Conference "Russia - Indonesia: Past, Present, Future". I am confident that this meeting is a good opportunity to exchange views on the history and current state of Russian-Indonesian relations, to outline the prospects for their further development in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
In 2025, we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states. Throughout this time, Jakarta has remained a reliable partner of Russia in the Asia-Pacific region. We advocate for the further development of a mutually beneficial cooperation with Indonesia, a country with the largest Muslim population and the informal leader of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. I am convinced that this event will make a constructive contribution to strengthening Russian-Indonesian ties and the traditional friendship between our peoples.
I wish all the participants success and good health.
Andrei Rudenko,
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation
