Unifying Russia: second championship in assembling the country's Spils-map at the RSUH

The championship was held at RSUH on October 31. The participants tested their knowledge of the country's geography and quickly assembled a map of Russia from wooden parts in the shape of the regions of the Russian Federation.

The championship was organized on the eve of National Unity Day. It opens a series of RSUH events dedicated to the 4th of November. A Spils-map is an interactive art object consisting of wooden parts in the shape of Russian regions on a magnetic board. The map also includes new territories: Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk People's Republic, Kherson and Zaporizhia. The author of the project is a conceptual artist, President of the World Federation of Spils-map, Head of the Federal Educational Program "I Know Russia - I Serve the Fatherland" Evgeny Tyurikov.

Acting Rector Andrei Loginov welcomed the participants:

"It is important to understand what kind of world we live in today, to know the outlines of the regions, subjects of the Russian Federation. Our Motherland is beautiful. Let it not be just assembling a puzzle, but rather touching the wealth of the regions of Russia. I think we will be developing this at RSUH." At the end of the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Youth Affairs Irakli Bolkvadze noted that the University would continue to organize events aimed at patriotic education of students and launched the Championship.

The organizers of the competition were ANO "World Federation of Spils-maps” and RSUH.
