"A broadly educated person, capable of thinking in various ways, has more opportunities to build a career and switch fields," noted the Head of the Presidential Council for Human Rights, Valery Fadeev, at the conference "If Truth Stands Before Us..."
Valery Fadeev spoke with Kommersant correspondent Emilia Gabdullina at the first-ever academic and religious conference in Russia, organized in the Sirius federal territory with the support of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Participants discussed forming a renewed educational environment and cultural context that should help people discover true life values. Mr. Fadeev believes that Russia's new approach to education is taking shape amid the crisis of European civilization and should integrate three methods of knowledge – science, art, and religion.
