On March 13, 2025, Vera Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at RSUH, met with Gökhan Yağcı, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute (Turkish Cultural Center), to discuss prospects for collaboration.
"RSUH has established and is successfully operating the Russian-Turkish Center. Its foundation resulted from active international cooperation by RSUH. The center provides high-level Turkish language instruction and conducts serious research. In this regard, it is unique; no other university in Russia has such a center," said Vera Zabotkina, emphasizing the significance of RSUH's educational collaboration with Turkey.
The main topics of the meeting included the possibility of extending the existing cooperation agreement with the Yunus Emre Institute and prospects for establishing a partnership agreement with Istanbul University. "We hope that our meeting will contribute to productive cooperation. We are also interested in participating in various RSUH events," noted Gökhan Yağcı, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute.
The meeting was also attended by Alexander Vasiliev, Director of the Russian-Turkish Center of the Institute of Eurasian and Oriental Studies at RSUH, and Natalia Pakhomova, Director of the RSUH Department of International Cooperation, as well as Dr. Daria Cherkasova.
