The principles of the new world order, named by Vladimir Putin on November 7 during the International Discussion Club "Valdai", were reflected in the panel discussion of the 4th Congress of Young Scholars.
On November 29, representatives of RSUH took part in the 4th Congress in the session "A New Look at the World Order:Differences That Unite Us", where they discussed the transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world due to the failure of previous models of interstate relations.
"The world order is a problem that has undoubtedly worried humanity since its inception. And it is absolutely clear that when you look at the kaleidoscope of successive events, wars, suffering, attacks, seizures, invasions, and so on, the humanity has never learned lessons from what is happening,"said Acting Rector of RSUH Andrei Loginov, opening the panel discussion.
During the session, the experts addressed the outrageous statement made by politician Josep Borrell about the European "blooming garden" that is forced to defend itself from the Russian "jungle", but at the same time, as the Director of the Mesoamerican Center of RSUH Galina Ershova rightly noted, "blooming", in comparison with other civilizations, relatively recently.
In fact, this concept of the superiority of one state over othershas always raised questions. According to Pavel Alipov, Deputy Dean of the Department of History of RSUH, even though the world has come to an understanding of the plurality of civilizations and interaction without breaking each other's culture, religions and values, the desire for some kind of “highest point” is still being hammered into people.
Obviously, the idea of a unipolar world is unacceptable to most states, so the course towards multipolarity proposed by Russia is viewed positively in many parts of the world. By the way, the association of BRICS states is one of the strikingexamples of movement towards a new world based, as noted previously by President Putin, on justice and equality.
"Of course, if someone is to build and shape the idea of this world, it is young scholars in humanities," noted Andrei Loginov.
Many issues were discussed at the Congress. Young scholars were interested in why previous models of interstate relationswere untenable, how to approach education issues in the context of the new world order, how the Special Military Operation would affect the modern world order, and much more.
"We want to build multipolarity not by appealing to the multinational, multi-confessional, multi-civilizational interests of elites, states or political traditions, we want to focus it on the individual," said Acting Rector Loginov.
