Lecture "How a Russian Historian Works with the Archives of Latin America" held at RSUH

On April 11, 2023, at the session of the Student Seminar "Methods and Texts", a lecture was read by Dr. Ivan Kosichenko, Senior Lecturer at the Mesoamerican Center of RSUH.

Dr. Kosichenko spoke in detail about all the intricacies of a trip to Latin America to work with archives - from preparing for a trip to actually working there. He covered the following topics: what skills are needed for productive work in the archive, what documents may be required to visit a foreign archive, how public, religious and private archives differ, and how to obtain a permission to get into a Latin American archive.
