"It is necessary to do everything to ensure that quality education is accessible in every Russian region so that young people, after completing their studies, stay in their home region, develop it, and engage in their favorite work," emphasized the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin.
In recent years, a set of measures has been implemented within the national projects Education and Science and Universities:
The implementation of all these measures will continue under the new national project Youth and Children.
A significant contribution to improving the quality of secondary vocational education has been made by the federal project Professionalism, which enables students to become highly qualified specialists at leading enterprises in their region. The President has instructed to legally secure its implementation with mandatory business participation.
A pilot project has been launched to transition to a new model of higher education with a unified level, a Specialist degree. At the same time, in-depth knowledge will be available at the Master’s level.
In the coming years, the number of target admission places for significant fields will be increased. For the next academic year, this decision has been made for almost 80 specialties, including:
The quota for several medical profiles has been expanded to 100%.
A total of about 145,000 spots will be allocated for targeted education. Students will be able to obtain promising professions and be guaranteed employment immediately after graduation, choosing their place of work independently.
The benefits that the country will gain from implementing the education development strategy depend on the joint efforts of all participants in the process.
