The meeting was held on July 5, 2024, with a participation of Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky.
Mr. Mogilevsky answered questions from young scholars. The participants discussed the need to create a textbook on the history of Russia for students of non-historical specialties and areas of training in universities and the preparation of a syllabus for the University in Novorossiya. In addition, the participants talked about securing financial support for graduate students in history and for patriotic education in universities in general.
Earlier, on July 4, 2024, the grand opening of the International Meeting of the Youth Club of the Russian Historical Society had taken place at the House of the Russian Historical Society, the main theme of which was the 10th anniversary of the Russian Spring in Donbass.The participants attended lectures where they talked about competitions, projects related to the support of historical science in the territory of Novorossiya, and digital humanities in historical science. Following the meeting, Konstantin Mogilevsky proposed organizing a panel discussion of young historians at the Congress of Young Scholars, which would be held at “Sirius” in November 2024.
