We are wishing you happiness on one of the most important public holidays of our country - the Russia Day!
It was on this day in 1990 that the Declaration on State Sovereignty of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, then part of the USSR, was adopted. The “supremacy of the Constitution of the RSFSR and the Laws of the RSFSR throughout the entire territory of the RSFSR” proclaimed by the Declaration established the priority of Russian laws over union legislation in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. Later, in December 1992, when the Soviet Union ceased to exist, the RSFSR received a new name - the Russian Federation (Russia) - and became the legal successor of the Soviet Union.
