On March 18, the annual congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs commenced in Moscow, attended by over 1,300 businesspeople, department heads, and ministers, including Acting Rector of RSUH Andrei Loginov.
The plenary session focused on state-business cooperation and entrepreneurial initiatives contributing to national goals and projects. Minister of Labor Anton Kotyakov noted that in the next five years, the Russian labor market would need 10.9 million new employees to replace retirees and fill new positions in growing industries. By 2030, there is an expected increase in demand for specialists with secondary vocational education, with plans to train and employ about 7 million such professionals in the next five years.
The Union is a nationwide organization representing the interests of business circles both in Russia and internationally. It unites representatives from industrial, scientific, financial, and commercial organizations across all Russian regions, encompassing over 320,000 major Russian companies and more than 160 sectoral and regional associations representing key economic sectors. The Union's activities aim to create a competitive business environment, improve corporate governance standards, and enhance the influence and social authority of domestic entrepreneurs.
