Maslenitsa, you are a beauty!

“Maslenitsa (Shrove-tide) is not only a traditional Russian holiday but also a great opportunity for students and teachers to feel a sense of unity. It is very important for us to preserve cultural traditions, Russian customs, and pass them down from generation to generation,” noted Maria Glazova, Head of the Department for Supporting and Implementing Student Initiatives.

On February 28, 2025, students, teachers, and staff of RSUH took part in festive celebrations dedicated to Maslenitsa, marking the end of winter and the arrival of spring. In the University's inner courtyard, everyone could enjoy traditional Maslenitsa treats: pancakes with jam, condensed milk, and sour cream, sweets, bagels, and hot tea.

Maslenitsa is an East Slavic traditional holiday celebrated during the week before Lent.
