Dmitry Chernyshenko was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RSUH

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko held a meeting of the Supervisory Board of RSUH.

During the meeting, the Chairman and Secretary of the Supervisory Board of the RSUH were elected, and a candidate the Rector’s position recommended.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Konstantin Mogilevsky, Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region Dmitry Artyukhov, Director of the ANO "National Research Institute for Communications Development" Vladislav Gasumyanov, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management Mikhail Popov, and others.

Opening the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko said:

"It is especially important that the University pays attention to the implementation of the instructions of President Vladimir Putin to preserve and strengthen traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. RSUH has centers that implement strategic planning tools in humanities. The University's initiatives for international cooperation with foreign universities and non-profit organizations deserve special attention. Students from 70 countries attend the University; this is a hallmark among universities in the country. The academic and educational background of RSUH allows us to form on its basis a specialized center for monitoring and coordinating humanitarian knowledge across the whole country, which will be able to provide qualified tasks for liberal arts research for the state". During the meeting, Dmitry Chernyshenko was unanimously elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board of RSUH.

"The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia greatly values ​​the attention that the Government and you personally, Dmitry Nikolaevich [Chernyshenko], pay to the development of higher education. Today, we are faced with the major task of improving domestic humanities, with the inclusion of humanities in the non-core areas of training. The role of the center in this process is assigned to RSUH. Therefore, after consulting with colleagues, we would like to ask you to head the Supervisory Board of RSUH," said Konstantin Mogilevsky addressing the Deputy Prime Minister.

In addition, the participants supported the candidacy of Efim Pivovar for the post of Secretary of the Supervisory Board.

The Board decided to recommend the Acting Rector of RSUH Andrei Loginov to the position of Rector.

In turn, Dr. Loginov spoke about the current level of development of the University, presenting its goals and mission as "ensuring a breakthrough to the effect of establishing Russia as a leading liberal arts power in the new world architecture".
