On November 13 and 14, RSUH delegation took part in the Academic and Educational Session "Liberal Arts Cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan: Directions and Prospects of Development", which was held in Bishkek with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The Session was held at the Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. It was dedicated to various aspects of cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan in the field of education, science, culture, media and academic diplomacy, Eurasian integration, memory of the Great Patriotic War in the context of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the historical legacy of Przhevalsky for Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
RSUH delegation was headed by the Academic Director of RSUH, Director of the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies Efim Pivovar. The delegation included the following faculty members of the Institute of International Studies of RSUH:
• Dr. Katagoshchina, Senior Researcher at the Department of Post-Soviet Countries, Leading Analyst at the Laboratory of Humanitarian Education and Worldview Formation at the Russian Academy of Education;
• Dr. Kondrashova, Assistant to the Academic Director, Lecturer at the Department of Post-Soviet Countries;
• Dr. Levchenkov, Assistant Professor at the Department of Post-Soviet Countries;
• Dr. Mukhin, Associate Professor at the Department of Post-Soviet Countries.
Dr. Pivovar made a presentation entitled “Liberal Arts Cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan: Current Status and Prospects”, where he highlighted the current results and prospects for the development of cooperation. The discussion of cooperation between the two countries was continued by Dr. Levchenkov in his presentation “Prospects for the Development of Russian-Kyrgyz Academic Cooperation in the Context of Modern International Processes”, Dr. Katagoshchina in "Youth academic diplomacy - a tool for developing liberal arts dialogue between Russia and Kyrgyzstan" and by Dr. Makarova, who spoke about areas for cooperation in the field of journalism education.
The interactive part of the session included master classes for students and faculty of KRSU, Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University and Karasayev Bishkek State University. Dr. Katagoshchina led a master class on the topic "Experience of studying phenomenology of culture and history of patronage in the USSR and the CIS countries".
At the working session on November 14, dedicated to discussing areas for development of the Przhevalsky Center for Eurasian Studies of KRSU-RSUH, the parties exchanged proposals for the implementation of the cooperation program for 2025 and the prospective period of 2026-2027. The event was organized by RSUH, Yeltsin University, Przhevalsky Center, with the participation of the Academic Council on Comprehensive Issues of the Modern History and Culture of Eurasia at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
