Delegation of Egypt visited RSUH

On October 14, a meeting took place between the University authorities and representatives of the universities of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation in academic and educational fields.

The Egyptian side was represented by Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Elsergani, Director of the Bureau of Culture of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Russian Federation, Dr. Mohamed Saleh Mohamed Ali, Associate Professor of the Suez Canal University, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Abdelgani Mustafa, representative of El-Mansour University, Dr. Walid Ali Mohamed, Associate Professor of Fayoum University, Dr. Ayman M. Moftah Brisha, Associate Professor of the Beni Suef University and Dr. Mostafa Abdelkader of Sohag University.

The guests were greeted by Dr. Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Dr. Kormysheva, Director of the Golenishchev Center for the Study of Ancient Civilizations of Egypt and Sudan, Dr. Pakhomova. Deputy Head of the International Office and Dr. Gordeeva, Head of the Department of Public Relations, Tourism and Hospitality.

“Egyptian universities are interested in cooperation with RSUH. We are honored to work with one of the leading liberal arts universities in Russia. Today we will discuss the prospects for creating joint educational programs, as well as consider the possibilities of academic mobility between the two countries,” said Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Elsergani.

Dr. Zabotkina expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian delegation for the interest in cooperation between Russia and the Arab Republic of Egypt.

“It is significant for us that you visited our University. For many years, RSUH has been collaborating with archaeologists from the Arab Republic of Egypt through the Golenishchev Center, and our students have had the opportunity to witness the rich culture of Ancient Egypt. We will be glad to develop cooperation in the field of education between our countries”, added Dr. Zabotkina.

During the meeting, Dr. Zabotkina made a presentation on the activities of RSUH speaking about the international profile of the University and its cooperation with foreign educational organizations from 54 countries of the world.

She stressed that the University provides support for international educational and academic projects, and also participates in innovative projects implemented jointly with the United Nations (UNESCO, UNICEF), the European Commission (Erasmus +, Horizon program) and other international organizations.

She also presented new Master's programs in English that can attract Egyptian students.

The negotiations resulted in the prospects for the development and implementation of double degree programs being outlined.

The participants expressed confidence in the continuation of the dialogue. Both parties are interested in expanding cooperation and signing agreements with such well-known educational institutions as Suez Canal University and Fayum University.

After the meeting, sightseeing tour of the museum complex of RSUH was held for the Egyptian delegation.
