On October 4, the administration of RSUH discussed cooperation in the field of education and science with the delegation of the Embassy of the United States of Mexico in the Russian Federation
At the beginning of the meeting, the Rector noted the exceptional role of the Knorozov Center of RSUH, and thanked the Embassy for the support they provided in establishing contacts with Mexican scholars. He also emphasized his interest in implementing academic mobility programs for students.
Mr. Eduardo Villegas Mejias, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico, supported the initiative of the Rector and said that this step would contribute to a better mutual integration of the cultures of our countries through education and science.
Vice-Rector Vera Zabotkina told the guests about the uniqueness of our University: its structure, its faculties and institutes, as well as the main international projects being implemented by RSUH. Particular attention in her speech was paid to the current interaction of RSUH with educational institutions in Mexico.
Dr. Ershova, Director of the Knorozov Center, highlighted the work of the Center’s branch in the Republic of Guatemala, describing the main directions of its development in the near future.
During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to expand cooperation with Mexican universities and add textbooks on the Mexican dialect of Spanish to the library of the Center.
At the end of the meeting, the guests were given a tour of the RSUH Museum and the Knorozov Center.
