The use of artificial intelligence platforms and chatbots when writing theses became the main topic of discussion in the spring semester both at universities and outside the academic environment
Rector Bezborodov spoke about a situation that had occurred at the University, when our student wrote his thesis using ChatGPT receiving a С grade as a result.
“The inability to use artificial intelligence or the use of chatbots with AI when writing articles - all this led to the fact that he made a sensational statement, but then the fact was condemned inside and outside the University,” said the Rector.
Immediately afterwards, the University made changes and additions to the regulations, stating that direct inserts generated by AI would not be allowed. The Anti-Plagiarism system has also been updated to recognize fragments of this type.
