On April 22, 2023, a student online conference “Military tribunals: no statute of limitations. The fight against Nazism and its followers”, was organized by the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies of RSUH.
President of RSUH, Director of the Institute for Eurasian and Interregional Studies, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr. Efim Pivovar delivered a welcoming speech. He commented on the importance of the Conference topic and said that the presentations would be published in the collection of student papers "Eurasian Studies. Student Tribune".
The Conference was attended by 2nd year students of the Institute of Eurasian and Interregional Studies of RSUH, as well as students from the Belarusian-Russian University (Mogilev, Republic of Belarus) and the Karasaev Bishkek State University (Kyrgyz Republic).
Mr. Kirill Belokon, a second-year student of the Faculty of International Relations, presented the topic "The International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg".
Ms. Ainura Nurmatova, a 3rd year student of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Faculty of the Faculty of Oriental Studies and International Relations of the Bishkek State University, provided examples of the falsification of history and the denial of Nazi crimes in concentration camps.
Mr. Ilya Kartashov, a student of the Belarusian-Russian University (Mogilev, Republic of Belarus), spoke about the activities of collaborators in Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and the fight against them.
The verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the Far East (Tokyo Trial), which had begun its work on May 3, 1946, was commented upon by Ekaterina Fomina, a second-year student at the Institute of International Studies of RSUH.
Mr. Evgeny Gavrilov, a second-year student at the Institute of International Studies of RSUH, listed the main results of the work of the Khabarovsk Tribunal. The Khabarovsk trial had been a trial of a group of 12 former servicemen of the Japanese Kwantung Army who were accused of creating and using bacteriological weapons in violation of the Geneva Protocol of 1925 during World War II.
Mr. Alexander Semyonov, a student of the Belarusian-Russian University (Mogilev, Republic of Belarus), recalled the tragic pages in the history of the war, the inhumanity and cruelty of the Nazi invaders and their accomplices in his report “Grigory Vasyura - the executioner of Khatyn”.
Ms. Ekaterina Ochir-Goryaeva, a second-year student of RSUH, named Hitler's allies and accomplices, and also talked about the danger of the revival of Nazism.
Ms. Sona Shakhbazova, a second-year student of RSUH, stressed the importance of preserving the memory of the Great Victory, as well as the need to combat the falsification of history.
Ms. Ekaterina Borodeiko, a second-year student of RSUH, spoke on the topic of responsibility for committing crimes against the peace and security of mankind in accordance with the current Russian criminal legislation.
Ms. Daria Tsesarskaya, a second-year student of RSUH, talked about the trials in Russia, in which the facts of the destruction of Soviet prisoners of war and civilians by the Nazis had been recognized as genocide.
