We continue to publish the stories of the participation of students and teachers of the Institute of History and Archives of RSUH in the Great Patriotic War. We are trying to find those who fought for the Motherland, to establish their names, surnames, and to recreate the details of their biographies.
The students of the Institute of History and Archives of RSUH volunteered for the front in the first days of the war. More than 20 students and teachers of the Institute fought in a ski battalion operating behind enemy lines.
Today we will tell the story of Viktor Belyanin. Viktor Belyanin was born on January 7, 1919 in the city of Pavlodar. On June 26, 1941, after graduating from the Institute of History and Archives, he was drafted into the Red Army. He was a mortar man.
Thanks to the number of the postal service, the direct affiliation of Viktor Belyanin to the 1st Moscow Red Banner Guards Motorized Rifle Division was established. He served in the 2nd company of the 6th motorized rifle regiment.
