On March 14, as part of the Career Week, a meeting with Mr. Airat Gibatdinov, member of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Science, Education and Culture, took place
Opening the meeting, Vice-Rector Bolkvadze emphasized that the events held as part of the Career Week gave students a unique opportunity to communicate with professionals from various fields of work.
Mr. Airat Gibatdinov, a senator from the Ulyanovsk region, spoke about his career path in public bodies, the features of the structure of the Federation Council, the tasks of the Government of the Ulyanovsk region, and about possible reforms of the current education system.
One of the main problems, according to the politician, is the lack of personnel in regional power structures, which arose in connection with the migration of the local population to federal cities.
Answering questions from students, the senator spoke about the assistance provided to the four new regions of Russia, and stressed the importance of the profession of historian in the current political and economic situation in the world.
