In February 2023, RSUH delegation visited the Republic of Zimbabwe
During the visit, an agreement was reached on holding an archival and documentary exhibition in the city of Harare, dedicated to the role of the USSR and the Russian Federation in the anti-colonial struggle on the African continent. The opening date of the exhibition is May 25, 2023 (60th anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity).
RSUH faculty have unique competencies in the search and analysis of archival documents. Copies of archival and documentary materials can be used for the permanent exhibition of the Museum of African Liberation, as well as for the development of educational courses of the RSUH.
The practical assistance of RSUH in the creation of the Museum of African Liberation, in particular, the holding of exchange exhibitions, will be evidence of genuine humanitarian, educational and academic cooperation between our countries, and will also become an important element in promoting Russia's "soft power" on the African continent.
In addition, the delegation signed a Cooperation Agreement with the National Gallery of Zimbabwe. The art of Zimbabwe (primarily sculptures made of different types of stone) is displayed in many leading museums in the world, but, unfortunately, is little known to art historians and students in Russia.
